Do you want to work side by side with police officers, firefighters & hospital staff? The trauma intervention program is currently recruiting volunteers 16 yrs & older to provide emotional support at emergency scenes to victims immediately following a trauma or crisis.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Trauma Intervention Program (TIP) Foothill Mountain of the Sierra's Inc. We are always looking for compassionate individuals who are ready to take the next step in serving their community.
Due to the high-sensitivity of work involved with our organization, all volunteers must meet the following requirements:
Must be 16-years-old or older
Clean driving record
Clean criminal history (complete background investigation will be performed)
Commit to (3) 12-hour shifts per month
Attend monthly Continuing Education meeting
Attend 36-hour training academy*
If you meet the above requirements, then we want you!
*The academy will teach you the five Emotional First Aid skills of reaching out, protecting, reassuring, organizing and reinforcing. It is taught with the help of rescue personnel and mental health professionals. Becoming a volunteer requires the 36 hours of training, a three-month field-training program, plus mandatory 3-hour continued education classes once per month.
